Academy Class System Guide
This guide explains the Academy class system from a player point of view: how to pick classes each week, build progress through lectures, office hours and assignments, read the forecast grade, and finish the week with a passing result.
On this page
Quick Start
Academy classes are weekly commitments. Basic flow:
Open the phone and select the Classes app.
Choose your classes for the current week.
Note each deadline day, progress target, and useful location.
Attend lectures at the Classrooms for reliable progress.
Use office hours at the Faculty Offices when you need professor favor.
Complete assignments at the locations the Classes app points to.
Check the forecast grade before the deadline and push any class sitting near a fail.
Signing up for a class is not the same as passing it. The week only pays out if you reach the progress target before the deadline and keep the grade above failing.
Opening The Classes App
Open the phone and select the Classes app. It has three main uses:
- Choose classes for the current week.
- Review active classes, deadlines, progress, assignments, rewards, and risks.
- Check recent results after weekly grades are posted.
The Log Book may also point you toward important Academy story steps, especially early Dr. Stone and Clover-related objectives.
Weekly Class Flow
When a class is active, it has a professor, a deadline day, a required progress target, one or more useful locations, optional assignments, reward and risk icons, and a forecast grade.
Most active classes require 4 progress steps before the weekly deadline. Progress can come from lectures, office hours, and assignments.
Lecture
Steady, reliable progress on any active class. Found at the Classrooms.
Office hours
Catching up, professor favor, and a grade push. Found at the Faculty Offices.
Assignment
Progress plus side rewards, at the cost of some pressure. Found at class-specific locations.
If several classes are active at once, spread the work across the week instead of stacking it on the deadline day.
Attending Class
Go to the Classrooms location and choose Attend class. If you have more than one active Academy class, the game lets you choose which one to attend.
A lecture usually:
- Costs time/action use.
- Adds class progress.
- Improves the forecast grade.
- Adds professor favor.
- May improve the player’s general academic grade score.
Some story lectures can happen before the normal repeatable class flow. The first Academy Foundations lecture introduces Dr. Stone’s class structure and starts related story tracking.
Office Hours
Go to Faculty Offices and choose Academy Office Hours. Office hours let you meet the professor for an active class.
- Cost time/action use.
- Add class progress.
- Give more professor favor than a normal lecture.
- Reduce a little stress.
Use office hours when a class is behind schedule, or when you want to lift the forecast grade through professor favor rather than raw progress.
Assignments
Some campus locations show an Academy Assignment option when an active class has assignment work available there. Assignments are class-specific tasks.
- Add class progress.
- Improve grade score.
- Add professor favor.
- Give small side rewards such as money, dust, influence, reputation, or house points.
- Add costs or pressure such as stress, fatigue, outside attention, or rumor risk.
Assignments can have weekly completion limits. If an assignment says it needs to be done once, repeating it that same week will not count.
Grades And Forecasts
The Classes app shows a forecast grade for each active class. This is the game’s current estimate based on progress, professor favor, and perk bonuses.
Progress
Progress toward the class requirement, worth up to 80 points.
Professor favor
Adds or subtracts up to 10 points.
Perk bonuses
Class-relevant perks add on top of the base score.
| Forecast | Score | Result |
|---|---|---|
| A | 90 or higher | Best payout for the week. |
| B | 75 or higher | Strong pass. |
| C | 60 or higher | Standard pass. |
| D | 45 or higher | Passes, but pays less. |
| F | Below 45 | The class fails and does not pay rewards. |
The forecast updates as you work. If a class is sitting at D or F late in the week, office hours are usually the fastest way to move it.
Rewards
Passing classes award rewards when grades are posted. Better grades multiply the base reward.
| Grade | Reward multiplier |
|---|---|
| A | 1.5x |
| B | 1.25x |
| C | 1.0x |
| D | 0.75x |
| F | No reward |
Rewards can include:
- Money.
- Musk Dust.
- Influence.
- Reputation.
- House season points.
- Professor favor or grade-related benefits.
The Classes app uses reward icons with rollover tooltips, so you can check what each icon means before committing to a class.
Risks
Classes can also carry risks. Risk icons warn you about the kind of pressure connected to a class.
Risk icons are informational, not guaranteed consequences. They tell you what kind of trouble the class may interact with.

Troubleshooting
The Classrooms have no “Attend class” option.
You have no active Academy classes. Open the Classes app and sign up for the current week.
I attended a lecture but the forecast grade barely moved.
Progress is only part of the score. Professor favor and class-relevant perks make up the rest. Try office hours for a bigger favor gain.
A location does not show the “Academy Assignment” option.
Assignments are class-specific and appear only at the locations tied to your active classes. Check the location hints in the Classes app.
I repeated an assignment and got nothing.
Assignments can have weekly completion limits. Once a once-per-week assignment is done, repeating it that week will not count.
The week ended and a class paid no reward.
The class finished at F. A failed class does not pay out. Reach the progress target before the deadline day, and use office hours to protect the grade.
I ran out of days before finishing everything.
Too many active classes for the time available. Take fewer classes, or start progress early in the week instead of near the deadline.
Best Practices
- Check the Classes app at the start of the week.
- Do not wait until the deadline day if several classes are active.
- Use lectures for reliable progress.
- Use office hours when you need professor favor or a grade push.
- Follow the assignment location hints in the Classes app.
- Read reward and risk icon tooltips before committing to a class.
- A passing grade is usually better than chasing a perfect grade and missing other important campus tasks.
